The energy intensity of some provinces did not decrease but increased, and the situation was very serious. Among them, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong, where energy consumption is under pressure, are all provinces with a relatively large  and textile downstream, and the impact is more serious. The energy consumption of each link in the polyester industry chain, from high to low, is terminal weaving, polyester, coal-based glycol, oil-based glycol, and PTA. As a whole, the further downstream, the higher the energy consumption, so the dual control policy has a relatively greater impact on the downstream.

Starting from Nantong, Jiangsu, the scope of influence has gradually expanded to Jiangyin, Suqian, Wujiang, and other places. Under the power limit and production policy, most companies with high energy consumption have stopped production until the end of the month. At present, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and other regions have also been affected.

　　 Shaoxing Keqiao’s electricity curtailment measures involve 161 companies including thermal power plants, printing and dyeing plants, and polyester plants. Among them, printing and dyeing capacity accounts for 30% of the domestic production capacity, which has a profound impact. According to CCF statistics, the current start-ups of Jiangsu and Zhejiang plus elastic, looms, printing and dyeing have dropped to 58%, 44%, and 23% respectively. The polyester operating rate has also continued to decline, and has now fallen below 84%. At first, the PTA and ethylene glycol devices were less affected, but they have gradually expanded in recent days. Yangzi Petrochemical’s 600,000-ton PTA plant was shut down on the 22nd, and the overall ethylene glycol load in Jiangsu also dropped to below 50%.
